Charles Descazeaux

Charles Descazeaux worked for about fifteen years in several IP offices in Paris, in which he gained significant experience in proceedings before patent offices, including the US, Chinese, European and Japanese Offices, in opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office, as well as in litigation and patent licensing agreements. During these experiences, he has been involved in many technical fields, including automotive and aeronautics, the gas industry, the environment, manufacturing processes (especially those adapted to the molding of composite and plastic materials), and packaging. He founded CDIP in 2017.

Charles Descazeaux is a member of the French National Company of Patent Attorneys (CNCPI), the French Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (EPO) and the European Association of Patent Professionals (APEB).

Jacques Vesin

Jacques Vesin has acquired very long experience as an IP attorney, in various technical fields, mainly in the industry, but also in private practice. After having successively worked in two major electronics companies, one Dutch and the other French, and later for the French leader in chemistry, he joined the world leader in industrial gases. Jacques Vesin held various positions of responsibility in these companies, notably, in the American subsidiary company (based in San Francisco) as intellectual property director, then in the head office in Paris as group deputy IP director. During those years, he developed expertise both in the field of patents and in the field of industrial property contracts (R&D, licenses, confidentiality,…). In the field of patents, he notably acquired considerable experience in European opposition proceedings, participating in a large number of oral proceedings. In addition, he managed various transnational litigation proceeding. After a few years of private practice in a big firm, he specialized for a few years in the audit and industrial property consulting departments of small companies, in particular, start-ups, to support them in their industrial property approach and the definition of their strategy in the area of freedom to operate in their markets and protection of their innovations.

Since 2017, he has been Associate Consultant at CDIP.
